You posted earlier about problems with missing sound and also that you installed windows 10.
If you did a clean install of Win10 to where the partitions were re-written then you very likely lost your backup BIOS which HP sometimes puts in the EFI partition. If you then do a bios update, and something goes wrong, you will be unable to recover your original bios and your system may not be bootable.
Your other posts mention not seeing your drives. You may need to disable secure boot then re-enable after you take ownership of the system,. I do not have a h8 system so I am guessing. There are three different bios available for h8 but you are likely to brick your system where it could only function as a door stop or boat anchor.
Can you provide more info about the problem an keep it in a single thread?
