Microsoft Windows 11
  • Hi, I’ve had my HP laptop for less than a year, I upgraded my windows 10 to windows 11 and now on start up it’s asking me for a Bitlocker Key, I’ve never set up a Bitlocker so I have no idea where to find a key. Tried master resetting but it says there is a problem and so won’t reset. Can anyone help?

If someone enabled BitLocker on your system then the key is stored in their Microsoft account.  it appears this was an accidental enabling which is not unheard of

since the reset didn't work you will have to do a fresh install of windows
