Microsoft Windows 11

I have a OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0255st CTO
TLDR:
My 30L is booting to a black screen. I can access omen setup utility by holding F10. Windows logo + B doesn't do anything anymore. How do I fix this?

More details that might be helpful:
After an optional windows update, I started getting a black screen when booting. I restarted a few times.
Then I unplugged my second monitor and saw a screen that said something like bios update available, I clicked cancel update.
It was still black screening so I tried holding F10 on boot which opens Omen setup utility, I exited and clicked load setup defaults.
It was still black screening so I tried holding windows logo + b, which restored the bios.
After restoring the bios, the computer was still black screening for more than 10 minutes so I turned it off. Now windows logo + b causes the PC to beep 8 times but not load the bios recovery anymore (black screens).

Hi @andy12312

I think you have a faulty Windows Update, HP Firmware update issue. Now it looks like your PC will not POST. I have been seeing this issue on 25L PCs in addition 690 series PCs, some AIO PCs, and Business Workstation PCs. From my perspective it looks like a wave of faulty BIOS updates.

Check this Forum Link and additional links in this thread for more details and possible solutions.

Three possible options are:

-Contact HP for factory service. HP may reprogram the BIOS chip or replace the MB.

-You replace the MB.

-Find a local PC tech who can reprogram the BIOS if the BIOS chip is soldered to the MB. Or a programable header near the BIOS chip may be provided by HP.
