Hi there,
I tried to put some life into an old Pavilion G5200by upgrading to 8GB RAM. I checked it was compatible. All ok, but then I got a couple BSODs.
Tried resetting BIOS and CMOS (by both taking out motherboard battery and resetting jumper), in case it wasn’t getting the new RAM settings (BIOS utility reported no memory installed when Windows detected 7.75GB).
However, now I just get a blank screen when starting up, even though desktop LEDs and fans work. Tried the blind reset of BIOS (F10, wait, F5, enter, F10, enter), which worked briefly, but when the PC restarted, back to square 1. Tried several times. Nothing works.
Dont know what to do next. Please can you help?
thank you.
