Hallo,
since 2 weeks I got a boot-problem - if I start my system, I get a black screen with a beep, followed by this text:
"Copyright HP 2013... Version 2.15.1236 Copyright American Megatrends...
16384 MB
2234-HECI error during initialization.
v02.01"
At the bottom appears "F1: Boot" in blue, and if you press F1 then it starts with windows. I already used the on board hp-tools including updates, did Windows updates, BIOS-updates. I was not able to update the IME, because there was a non-compatibility-text and it stopped. I used the following link:
https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/selfservice/hp-prodesk-490-g1-microtower-pc/5448296
The mainboard is HP, the processor is Intel.
My software-guy tells me there was a mainboard-problem and I should buy a new pc, but I don`t want to because it is quite good (besides that booting-bug). Actually I switched the HDs on continuous operation mode to work without disturbance (every time they wake up I have the bug with beep and F1...). I like my hp and I hope to get help from you...
Thank You,
Volker
