@Autoimages -- there are several points of failure:

  1. loose "power" cable not sending power to the disk-drive;
  2. loose "data" cable not properly connected to the disk-drive;
  3. loose "data" cable not properly connected to the computer's motherboard;
  4. within BIOS SETUP, a setting that "disables" one (or more) of the SATA sockets on the motherboard;
  5. burnt-out electronics board on the bottom of the disk-drive that is not responding;
  6. burnt-out motor inside the disk-drive such that the disk-drive does not "spin" the recording surface;
  7. within BIOS SETUP, your disk-drive is not listed as being an eligible "bootable" device.

I recommend that you pay a certified computer-technician to check all of the above items.

You may need to have the technician replace a "dead" disk-drive, and to install Windows onto the new disk-drive (or the new SSD).
