Hi @1234142,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "Boot Device Not Found" error on your HP All-in-One 24 indicates that your system is unable to detect a bootable operating system on your hard disk. Here's how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Check Boot Order in BIOS
- Restart your computer and press the F10 key repeatedly during startup to enter the BIOS setup.
- Navigate to the Boot Options or Boot Order menu.
- Ensure that the primary hard drive (usually named something like "HDD" or "SSD") is set as the first boot device.
- Save and exit the BIOS.
Perform a Hard Drive Test
- Enter the BIOS again (press F10 during startup).
- Navigate to the Diagnostics or Tools section.
- Run the Hard Drive Test to check for any hardware issues.
- If the test fails, your hard drive may need to be replaced.
- If the test passes, proceed to the next steps.
Check Physical Connections
- Turn off your PC and disconnect the power supply.
- Open the back panel of the All-in-One (if you're comfortable doing so).
- Ensure the hard drive is securely connected to the motherboard.
- Reassemble the system and try booting again.
Recover or Reinstall the Operating System
- Create a Bootable USB Drive:
- Use another computer to download the Windows OS from the Microsoft website and create a bootable USB drive.
- Boot from USB:
- Insert the USB drive into your All-in-One.
- Restart the PC and press Esc or F9 repeatedly to open the boot menu.
- Select the USB drive and follow the prompts to reinstall Windows.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
