Desktop computer is not booting.
Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.
Mostly likely MBR is corrupted.
I had created Recovery Disks (total 4).
Changed BIOS startup to DVD drive and started boot using Recovery Disk 1.
Loaded files and then stopped on a screen showing the Microsoft symbol and message "Starting Windows". Did not proceed or prompt for next Recovery Disk.
HP not provide any installation disks.
Need help urgently.

Hi! @ssarkar1,
Have you inserted the correct discs into the DVD drive?
Is the CD/DVD drive functioning correctly?
Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.
It certainly sounds like an issue with the recovery discs you have created.
However, Try the steps recommended below and check if it helps.
Try restoring the BIOS to default.
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes.
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Lastly, try running a hard drive test from the system diagnostics page PC and check if the hardware components on your PC are functioning correctly.
Refer this article to know more information about running system diagnostics on your PC.
If the issue still persists after trying out the steps, please contact HP support and order a set of recovery discs.
