Hi @773910010abcd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP PC with an i5 processor and Windows 11 is having trouble loading beyond the initial HP icon. You can try the following steps to troubleshoot and attempt to resolve the issue:

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the computer and disconnect the AC adapter.
  • Remove any discs from the disc drive and memory cards from the card reader slot.
  • Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices.
  • Press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter and power on the computer.

Close Unresponsive Applications:

  • Open Task Manager by pressing ctrl + shift + esc.
  • Under Processes, look for applications that have stopped responding and select "End Task."

Check for Overheating:

  • Ensure that the air vents are clean and free of dust. Overheating may cause the system to freeze.

Run Windows Update:

  • Open "Check for updates" in Windows. Install any available updates that could resolve underlying issues.

Use HP Support Assistant:

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows app and run an Extensive Test to check for hardware-related issues.

System Restore:

  • Use Microsoft System Restore to revert your system to a previous state that was functioning correctly.

Perform a System Reset:

  • If problems persist, you may need to reset your computer to its original configuration using the system reset feature.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
