Product: HP OMEN 870-244 DT
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A faulty display port cable interrupted a BIOs update, now I am left with a beep signal verifying a corrupted BIOS.

No signal is being pushed through any of my HDMI/DISPLAY ports, no boot, nothing. I am here seeking a solution to my problem, here are my options currently, any new suggestions is appreciated. 

 

Motherboard:

Thimphu-K IMP17-TP

#799926 - 002 no DPK

#799926 - 602 WIN

 

- Start from scratch, build a new PC.

- Replace the Motherboard with a new one & seek additional new parts. [??]

- Find the exact Motherboard & swap them. [Is it that easy?]

- Find the exact BIOs chip & swap them. [Is it that easy?]

 

Mostly I'm just looking for an opinion on which route to take, any & all advice would be appreciated, I'll be checking this forum often. Many thanks HP community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

Bios Recovery using a keypress combination:

  1. Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.
  2. Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
  3. Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.

If this recovery method fails, use another working computer to create a BIOS recovery flash drive to install the latest BIOS file.
