I have a HP OMEN 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15 (less than two years old). In the past 3 months I have found that pressing the power button does not turn the PC on straight away.

 

The PC does not power on when the power button is pressed.

 

I must press the power button once, wait about a minute, then press it again for the PC to start.

 

This happens consistently. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

  • Investigate the power button connection to the motherboard inside your computer case.


BIOS Update:
 

  • Check if there is an updated BIOS version for your model. Sometimes, BIOS updates can resolve hardware communication issues. You can find available updates on the HP Support website for your specific PC model.
