Pavilion 550-153na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Very recently on power on, the PC comes up with a screen showing some system info with a |F1 to boot instruction. Using F1 then boots into windows. How do I get rid of this step and boot straight into windows on power on?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Let's try these steps -

Set BIOS default and restart:

  1. Restart your notebook.
  2. During startup, press F10 repeatedly until the BIOS menu is displayed.
  3. Once the BIOS menu is displayed, press F9 to restore factory defaults.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.
  5. Press F10 to save changes and exit.
  6. Select Yes to confirm.
  7. The computer restarts using the default settings.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

That hasn't changed anything, this is the screen it boots into. F1 starts windows as normal. Reset bios defaults and it's just the same. Any help is appreciated. IMG_20190206_095136.jpg
