This morning on my brand new HP Tower TE01 on 8-18-2024 my display was blank and the tower was off. Pressed the power button -Nothing. Had to unplug the power and wait a minute then plugged it back in . Now ok. At around 6 hours later, the unit just shut off again. Unplugged the unit again. waited then plugged back in again. The unit is back on. This happened several more times with the shut done getting closer in time. I finally unplugged the unit and pressed the on button for 30 seconds. I then waited 1 hour to turn the unit back on. On power up I let the unit set at the startup screen for an hour. All ok. logged into windows and the unit ran all night and now it is noon time. All seems ok .
Looking at all the community comments this seems to be a problem with this make and model making me think i need to take this back to Best Buy and look at a different manufacturer and model.
The last HP I still have is a Ca-00 17 inch display that has very crappy display hinges. They did not want to admit to that either. They tried to say I dropped the laptop, but it never has left my house..
If I do not hear of a fix very some I will return this for a refund. I just do not see how HP has keep selling this model with this known problem !!!!!

It's failing to go to sleep properly. If it goes asleep apparently it cannot wake up properly. Please run the sleep report and sleep study
Follow suggestions on the report and let me know what you find.

The shut down got worst so I finally called hp support.. The support guy was very friendly and helpful. Hard to believe a brand new hp tower sold at Best Buy had to have something done to the Bios and have a firmware update. He also changes various settings functions but he was really fast.
On day 2 and still not shutdowns. Lets just hope this fixed the problem.
