Hi @LeonB64,
You're welcome! 😊 I understand, you’ll need a Windows installation disk or a bootable USB to proceed. Once you have it, the process should be straightforward.
If you need any help along the way, feel free to reach out.
I’m happy to assist! Hope you get your PC up and running soon.
Take care! 👍

Well, I found a guy local to me on Facebook Marketplace who sold me an unopened Windows 11 CD and I tried fixing the MBR and no luck. So I decided to search out another drive to do an install. I decided it was best to use my original drive as a slave, but I didn't install it until I loaded the OS and got 'er running right. Everything seemed to load up just fine.
Once I got it loaded and running, I installed my original drive and attached it as a slave and was able to rescue all of my important files.
I feel so much better now. I had 39 years of tax return info in one folder and all of my pictures in another.
All is good now. Thank you all who have corresponded with me on this issue.
Now my PC has twice the ram as before and twice the hard drive space.
