HP ProOne 400 G5 All-In-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I've recently had problems with the HP ProOne 400 G5 All-In-One.

Since it's arrival (about a week ago) the time to boot to the OS has been atrociously slow (about 5 minutes until the login screen appears). Considering it sports a 256GB SSD this seems just way too long.

Once powered it seems to be stuck on the HP sure start window fot almost the entirety of the boot process. Disabling the sure start features in the Bios sadly didn't remedy this problem either. Neither was there any improvement in speed after updating the Bios.

Once it's finished booting and logged into an account (including the time it takes to log in) it's speed seems normal, so the problem is exclusive during the boot process (both when performing a reboot or just a regular boot).

If anyone has an idea what could be causing this behavior, I'd be grateful to hear about it.

@Mockington

You're correct about expected boot times -- as since this has an SSD, it should boot in only a few seconds, not several minutes!

You should not be having problems like this with a new PC!

You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.

Unfortunately, we are NOT HP Tech Support and we have no way to diagnose or repair your PC, so while this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.

I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet to check out the problems.

If they are unable to fix your PC, then you need to explore what options you have to get it replaced under the warranty.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!
