Solved!

F8 does not work

HP Recommended
HP Compaq dc5800
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

How to access Advanced Boot Options when F8 does not work?

I know it is there. Once accidentally got into it when the HP splash screen came up and pushed f8 1x or 2x briefly it came up. No luck since then. Only endless beeping, then the OS is loading normally when f8 is applied.

Any advice for solution?

Thank you

barsim

Hi,

Shutdown the PC, then try tapping away at the space bar continually as soon as you press the power button and see if this launches Windows Boot Manager - if it does, you should be able to select Advanced options ( f8 ) from here.
