My HP all in one will not boot up at all (blank screen). In running the HP diagnostics, I received a failure ID: 609kpw-aphd2r-gxpr5g-60rd03 Can this computer be repaired by a technician or are there things that I can try to get it running again? Thanks in advance!

Hi:
Measure the width of the drive.
Also, a 3.5" drive is much thicker, and longer than a 2.5" drive.
Here's a couple of reference pictures:
2.5"

3.5"

Enter the required information at the link below and it should provide a report of the code and the most likely way to fix it.

You're very welcome.
It is highly unlikely that you will be able to recover any data from the drive.
The only suggestion I can offer, depending on the drive that is installed in your PC would be to remove it.
If it is a standard desktop 3.5" drive, you will need to purchase a powered SATA 3.5" drive USB enclousure.
If it is a standard notebook 2.5" drive which is used in some all-in-one PC's then you can purchase a SATA to USB cable.
After you remove the drive, install it in the applicable adapter and plug the adapter's USB cable end into a working PC and see if you can read/copy any files from the failed drive to the PC.
It's a long shot but that would be your only chance of recovering files unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars to try and have the files recovered by a professional service that performs that kind of task.
There's no guarantee they can do the job either.

Hi Paul. sorry to bother you again, but I have removed the hard drive out of the computer (an HP model 22, all-in-one desktop)- how can I tell if what I have is a 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive? Is it just a matter of measuring something on the hard drive?
