HP 260 G2 TPC-1019-DM i5 6200, Bought this computer used, up graded the BIOS to the last known BIOS and it still will not recognize the Sata drive, replaced the Sata connector/ribbon cable, bought a HP 265 GB drive and it still does not recognize the drive." it will boot off a USB drive if configured to do so" Any ideas? Bad Sata drive interface chip and if so what chip is it to replace it.

Use the cloud recovery client to do the install.  There are drivers that you need and they are in the cloud recovey

select window 10 and click on "Open all" and scroll to the bottom

download the  sp142993 client.

You will need a 32gb flash

 

let me know how it goes and if you want to do an in-place upgrade to windows 11.

Thank you for the link. Been there updated the BIOS. Bios does not recognize the that a drive is connected except a USB drive, it does not see a SATA drive. Any more thoughts???
