HP ENVY Desktop - 795-0010

I have the HP Envy 795-0010 desktop computer. I was trying to edit a photo and all of a sudden the screen started to flicker really fast.
I tried to escape and it did not work.
I finally had to unplug the tower and when I plugged it back in the power lite was blinking and the tower was beeping.
I’ve unplugged again and re plugged and still same issue. My screen shows nothing.

Possibly the monitor went out.  can you try the monitor on another PC, xbox, tv or set?

Try hard reset on the PC

On a desktop system, unplug computer.
If the power cord has a transformer (wall wart) unplug from the computer.
Press the power button 2-3 times to discharge residual electricity.

Plug back in then ---

  • Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release.
  • Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer.
  • Tap the ESC key about once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash.
  • Press F2 to run diagnostics: (v) 2.6 or later is recommended.

connect to TV if you think monitor is bad.
