Greetings,

Have you run HP Diagnostics at system Startup?

Two historical causes relating to a 3F0 error are:

- The system disk has failed. The remedy is to replace the system disk. Reinstall Windows.

System disk data might be recoverable if the failing disk is not encrypted using BitLocker by connecting the failing disk to a different PC.

- The Windows EFI system partition bootloader is corrupted. This is a tough one to fix. It often requires the remedy suggested when the system disk has failed.

A recent 3F0 startup error may relate to a mis-match between the currently installed BIOS firmware and the latest Windows 2023 security certificates.

A possible quick fix is to modify the following BIOS settings: disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy support. Try this first to see how it goes.

HP would have to release a future BIOS update to permanently fix this 3F0 startup error.

Is your PC using an Intel processor? If so, HP has released an Intel May, 2026 BIOS update for your PC. The fixes section only specifies security enhancements. This BIOS update may not fix the BIOS/security certificate startup error

Unfortunately, you would have to jump through some hoops to update your PC's BIOS because you cannot sign into Windows when you encounter a 3F0 startup error.

Regards
