HP Pavilion All-In-One 27-d0072

When booting  computer goes straight into BIOS update program

BIOS update runs through normally

Computer then plays 8 tones and reboots directly into BIOS update program again.

Rinse repeat forever

This desktop is just barely over 1 year old.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

How did this happen?  Was there a BIOS update that went wrong?  Install some new device or download something?  Power went out while using system?

Have you tried the HP bios recovery procedure?

If it works (bios recovery) you might need to restore your system :

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.
The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.

Thank you for your interest in helping me with my issue.

Nothing took place to cause this issue.  I just woke up one morning and the Desktop was boot looping.

I have tried all of the steps on the "HP bios recovery procedure" but they either are inaccurate or simply do not work. 

There is absolutely no way that I can find to create the recovery USB drive that HP talks about there.

Can't even find how to get a reliable copy of the bios binfile if I want to flash the chip off board.

I'm ready to throw this $1400 machine in the garbage and chalk it up to a loss.

Crisis Recovery Mode

In the event of a failed BIOS update (for example if power is lost while updating), the System BIOS may become corrupted.  Crisis Recovery Mode detects this condition and will automatically attempt to recover to a known good state. Some advanced systems have the ability to recover without user intervention - an error response during boot up showing 2 red and then 4 white blinks on the power LED indicates this mode. After restoring the BIOS image, the system will reboot normally. If this feature is not present on your model, the recovery process will search the hard drive and any USB media sources for a compatible binary image.   The original factory image will have a suitable BIOS binary for automatic recovery without user intervention. Otherwise, the binary (.bin) file in the Softpaq root folder should be copied to the "EFI\HP\BIOS\current" folder of the desired storage device in a FAT or FAT32 partition, and the system powered on. Once the binary image is located, the BIOS will display a recovery screen and will start the recovery process. Do not power off the system until recovery is complete.

You did not provide your product ID so I had to guess you have an HP EliteOne 800 G6 27 All-in-One PC

as that is all that showed up when looking for 27-D00072 bios update

You should put the file S11_02101000.BIN on a USB flash and power the system up.  

I advise praying and not holding your breath.

I also suspect the product ID will probably point to a different bios.

You may want to contact a local "fixit", a guru or HP tech support as possibly they are more familiar with your system and know how to restore the bios.  My HP system are all old and do not have built in recovery like the newer HP systems.

Have your tried disconnecting the hard drive, DVD (if any) and reseating the memory chips?   Remove the power cable and remove the battery for 10-20 seconds?  Be sure to try that before disposing of system or taking to repair depot.
