HP Pavilion p6-2494ea won't boot up BIOS

Hello, my issue is that my HP Pavillion p6-2494ea won't boot up in BIOS. I hold down F10 straight after turning on the computer and after restarting it,  however after many attemps it does not seem to bootup in BIOS (the BIOS has not been upgraded since unboxing the pc in 2013), I have tried other keys aswell (F1,F2,F12). The computer loads into its operating system(Windows 10 Pro) perfectly, no issues there. To assist in resolving this issue I'm going to point out I have got a new computer case not the original Pavillion one, an Nvidia GTX 970, HyperX Fury DDR3 1600 C10 2x8GB RAM and I upgraded from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro, as well as drivers are up to date. The reason I want to load the BIOS is to upgrade the PC with an SSD containing the OS, also in the future I will replace the hard drive (same Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB from 2013). I can't find much on this issue with my specific computer specs so I have come here to find specific advice. Any feedback is much appreciated!

@Lil_Boy_Blue, thank you for your feedback. I downloaded and installed the newest available driver https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70001-70500/sp70376.exe , However when the system is retstarted, holding F10 doesn't seen to load up the BIOS but goes starght to the HP logo bootup screen.

Do you have any other suggestions? By the way I tried making a boot drive with a USB flash drive but when I download the BIOS update it doesn't come up with the option to create a boot drive.

" Press Esc as the computer is powering on to bring up the boot menu."  is what the User Guide states.

I have pressed the ESC key during that process and the boot menu was not loaded, just loaded straight into windows. Most solutions are for a notebook and the steps are slightly different for my Desktop PC, I have no idea why the BIOS isn't loading. Also the updates for the BIOS are for windows 8 operating systems, but I'm using WIndows 10 and I heared this isn't a good idea to download updates made for older operating systems on new systems.

Also my computer specs are:

System - HP p6-2494ea (brought in the UK)  

Motherboard - Foxconn 2ADA

OS - Windows 10

BIOS - Date 20130205

CPU - Intel Core i7-3770

RAM - HyperX Fury DDR3 1600 C10 2x8GB

GPU - Nvidia GTX 970 - MSI(1462 3160)

Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.
Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.
The HP BIOS Update screen displays and the recovery begins automatically. Follow any on-screen prompts to continue the startup to complete the recovery.

If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps but press the Windows key and the V key. If the screen still does not display, your computer might not support the feature or there is a hard drive issue. Continue to the next step to install a BIOS recovery file from the HP website.
If the Power light turns off, the Power button was held too long. Repeat the previous steps, making sure to hold the button for only 2 to 3 seconds.

After much frustration (I see why), you came to me privately.  In all fairness, I prefer to discuss an issue in the forum. Answering you privately does not help others, nor does it correct the underlaying problem.

1) You are correct, updating the BIOS after you upgraded to WIN 10 is problematic.

2) When a BIOS update is offered, it is to fix a known problem. Your inquiry does not meet that definition. You only want to add an  SSD 2.5" hard drive. That is not an issue.

3) Samsung EVO 850 or 860 are an ideal choice. The 500GB version is adequate. There are data clone progreams that will handle to 1TB to 500GB change.   Example 1  Example 2

4) 2.5" drive bay options    Example A     Example B

Reasoning: I would use 1 SSD for the OS and the other SSD for data.

Now my question: You had to re-wire the front panel plug from HP to the new board. Can you list the new board wiring scheme, and send me a complete wiring setup. Would be nice to know what you did.

The motherboard is the original one that came with the system(Foxconn 2ADA), I only swapped it to a new case, new, PSU, added a graphics card, a NIC, GPU and 16GB ram. I also thought about installing Windows 10 Pro on the SSD ,  not transfering the data from the old hard drive.

How did you complete the wiring of the front power button of the new case to the existing HP board?
