I ordered a brand new HP Pavillion laptop from Amazon and it refuses to boot. I started it once to establish the account and password and at the time it ran fine. This is the second time I've tried and it takes about 5 minutes to reach the password prompt screen but stops functioning after that. It gives me a blank screen and nothing else. I tried the task manager and it says ZERO programs are running. So basically the power is on and nothing else. I need this laptop for work and I was going to download the things I need, but I haven't had the chance to connect it to my wifi, let alone download anything. Can it be fixed or did I waste my money?

I have pics but this forum refused to let me load them. So here's a link There is no way this is user error when I quite literally haven't done anything with or to this device. Point is I can't use this laptop to do anything. It might make a decent paperweight.

EDIT: It Finally reached the home screen as I was typing this. It took 22 minutes total. And it refuses to run any of the default programs. The icons are there but nothing will load. The window will pop up but nothing will happen. From what I can tell HP is useless. Can I get a refund? Yes, really. I don't have time to wait what would eventually be hours for each window to load. I don't need a solution. I need a refund. I'm never wasting my money on HP again.

EDIT TO EDIT: I had a feeling no one would believe me, so I tried again. I made a live video of the whole process start to finish. Live so you know it wasn't altered. This time it moved faster and made it to the desktop screen, but none of the apps were responsive. It also refused to shut down! It took 3 attempts to do it, and I had to force it to power off completely. I ended up logging into my old one because it actually works, unlike this one. HP LAPTOPS SUCK. I'll never buy another one.

See for yourself
