HP Proliant ML10 doesn't boot Linux

I've installed Ubuntu 18.10 on my hp proliant server. But now I can't start it.

The option 'Ubuntu' shows up in the boot menu (Picture 1) but when I click it the system configuration opens up (Picture 2).

When I select "Exit and resume system boot" in the options list the error message "No bootable device" (Picture 3) shows up.

What could I do?

The last thing I've read as a possible solution was to set the boot mode from legacy to uefi but in my case it's already in the uefi boot mode.

Hi,

You would probably want to disable Secure boot and enable Legacy boot in the BIOS if this version of Linux does not have a Microsoft signed bootloader.

Unsigned operating systems will not boot when Secure boot is enabled.

Did you install Linux in UEFI/GPT mode?

The secure boot is already deactivated. Now appears an another message on the screen "Please attach a Legacy BIOS bootable device".

- I'm not sure about that. How can I check it? Or where do I have to set this during the installation?

You're very welcome.

So you disabled Secure boot, enabled Legacy boot. And then rebooted and entered the confirmation code before installing Linux.

I am not a Linux user. You would check Disk Management for GPT vs MBR in Windows.

To get a fresh GPT installation using Windows you must select the bootable OS installation media from the Bootable UEFI Sources submenu within the Boot Menu when running setup.

Maybe the appropriate Linux forum can provide better assistance.
