HP Recommended

I was updating the drivers (by the way i am technilogically inept) and when i was done the computer wanted to restart so i did.  I was informed that this may take some time and well its been over 10hours and the screen is stuck on the same thing... the hp logo with the little circular spinning white dots underneath it and it does that for roughly 45seconds then goes black for about 3seconds and back to the same thing. What am I to do about this and how do i do it?
