Example: Pavilion Touch All-in-One PC - 27"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had issues with a hard drive that died right after the warranty expired, and contacted hp's facebook about it. . .got a message and they wanted more info, which I gave them. . .then I got something stating that the unit is out of warranty, and they could help me, just this once, and they'd like to send me the info to order the hard drive I need. I want and need the hard drive, so my $1,300+ computer doesn't become a paperweight, but I'm having bad feelings about it, and want to know if any of you would send him what he's asking for.?

You're very welcome.

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05145192

It comes with a standard 3.5" 2 TB desktop hard drive.

Below is the link to the service manual for your PC which will provide the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

A good 2 TB replacement drive would be this one...

If you don't have a way to reinstall W10, you can do so for free as follows...

You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...

  1. Select Download tool now, and select Run.
  2. If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
  3. On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
  4. Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.

  5. Select which media you want to use:
  6. USB flash drive.  Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.

Then you can reinstall the drivers and available software from the PC's support page.

Hi:

The only info I would need to help you would be to know the product number of your PC.

The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.

Please do not post the serial number.

You can buy the hard drive from any vendor you want, but I will give you a recommendation once I know what model 27"AIO PC you have.
