HP Z640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Z640 in which I have an unknown BIOS PW. I followed the instructions in the manual to attempt to remove the BIOS PW using the jumper labeled E49 on the board. I powered off the machine, removed plug and components. Held power button to drain any leftover power. Removed green jumper at E49 which was covering the first 2 pins out of four. I then reconnected asset and powered up until I see the HP Logo. I power down remove plug and reinsert he jumper in the same position I took it out. Reconnect power and go straight to bios using F10 but the password still exists. I also tried the same process but waited until I got to the windows login screen before powering down and reinserting the jumper with no success. Am I missing something here? I will try to remove the cmos battery but the HP instructions didn't say anything about that. Has anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions I can try?   THANKS!!!
