HP Recommended

A previous owner of the laptop set up accounts on the computer that I don’t know the password to login and I have no way of getting the password from them or the flash drive they used. Is there a way to override this?

Hi:

 

You can use the HP cloud recovery client utility to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

 

Here is an info link for how to use the utility, which you will have to use on another PC and you will need to use a 32 GB USB flash drive.

All data currently stored on the hard drive will be lost by using this method to factory reset the PC.
