HP8300 killed by BIOS changes

HP Recommended
HP8300 CMT

I have the problem described here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Boot-and-Lockup/HP-8300-SFF-no-POST-after-restart-fan-speed-up...

Changing some settings in the BIOS causes the machine to fail to boot. The screen remains black and the fan spins up to 100% of maximum speed.

The accepted solution is to replace the motherboard, which hardly counts as a solution.

Is there a real solution to this problem that will recover the board? Obviously I have tried clearing the CMOS and leaving the machine powered off, etc.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Your problem is not good.

You may be out of options if clearing CMOS did not fix the problem.

Regards
