Hello
Although my computer and my hard disk are functioning well, when I run the diagnostic, I have the following failure message:
M4NK0C-000A2V-PXP821-61F013
The computer is ten years old, no more guarantee
The hard disk model is WDC WD15EADS-65P8BX (microprogram version 01.00A01
When I call the HP assistance (since the guarantee has expired, I had to pirchase a support package for that), the only thing they are able to say is : "our salespeople will call you to sell you a new hard disk or a new computer).
What I would like to know is :
- what does this failure code mean?
- since my computer is running well, what are the risks?
Thank you

Hi:
According to the error code translation...Hard Disk 1 Full Test Failure, the hard drive should not be working right now.
Since it is, I suggest that you make a backup of any files you don't want to lose onto a portable hard drive.
One day you will turn it on and the hard drive won't work. At least you will have your files saved and not be surprised by this.
Then you can decide whether to buy a new hard drive and replace it yourself, or buy a new PC.
You can reinstall W10 for free on the new hard drive.
I wouldn't pay anyone to fix such an old model.
