I have a cpu fan error and I need to get to hardware monitor. So I open up bios go over to the power tab. And I look it up and down there is no hardware monitor. There is stuff like after ac power failure, XD (execute disable), Virtualization technology, S5 Maximum power savings, and WOLVin S5. That is all. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
1) May I have the exact model name of the computer? Click here for steps on finding the information we need. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
2) Is your computer booting up?
While you respond to that, try these steps to perform the -
1) Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2) Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3) On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
You may also try the steps mentioned here.
Let me know how that goes.

3) Press F10 once for BIOS.
4) Press F9 for BIOS defaults.
