Just yesterday I was able to boot everything up no issue, but as of today, when I go to get booted, my tv monitor can’t get an hdmi signal from my device. It will show an hp logo, and then it starts flashing black. After that, it’ll say there is no signal from my device. I’ve tried a different hdmi cord, and connecting my pc to a different monitor. It’s the same issue. I’ve unhooked all cords and left it alone for a little before trying again, that still hasn’t worked. It’s up to date on all updates as far as I’m aware. I’m not tech savvy, and I don’t know how to fix this.

Hi @JadaBoardwine,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?

Meanwhile, you can try the steps.

1. Check Power and Connections

Make sure the PC is fully powered on (fans running, lights on).

Reconnect the HDMI cable securely to both the PC and the monitor/TV.

Try using different HDMI ports on both the monitor and the PC if available.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

Turn off the PC completely and unplug the power cable from the wall.

Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.

Plug the power cable back in and try booting again.

3. Check for External Devices

Disconnect all USB devices, external drives, and peripherals.

Sometimes a device can interfere with the boot process.

4. Test Integrated vs. Dedicated Graphics

If your PC has both integrated (CPU) graphics and a dedicated GPU, try:

Plugging the HDMI cable into the other video output (CPU integrated port if previously using GPU, or vice versa).

5. Reset BIOS / UEFI

Power on the PC and immediately press the BIOS key (usually F10, Esc, or Del depending on your model).

Once in BIOS, select “Restore Defaults” or “Load Setup Defaults”, then save and exit.

This ensures display settings aren’t misconfigured.

6. Check for BIOS/Driver Issues

If you manage to get a display via integrated graphics or another monitor, update:

GPU drivers (NVIDIA/AMD or Intel)

BIOS via HP Support → Enter your PC model → Download latest BIOS update.

I hope this helps.
