HP Pavilion p6-2226eb Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I've got a HP Pavilion p6-2226eb Desktop PC with Windows 7 that I hadn't been able to acces in +6 years. Now that I'm back at the location where my desktop was at, I'm trying to install Windows 10 to get it fully up-to-date and running smoothly.

Currently I installed Windows Media Creation Tool on a USB. But from here on I do not know how to acces the BIOS system to boot the desktop up with the USB drive.

Could anyone help me out?

Thank you and have a great day,
Quentin

Hi, Quentin:

Have the USB flash drive in the PC.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately, tap/press the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB flash drive with W10 on it and press the Enter key.

The PC should then boot from the flash drive.

You are aware that you can't get the free upgrade to W10 unless your PC had been previously upgraded to W10, correct?

If you can still get into W7, to get the free upgrade to W10, you can click on the blue Update Now button at the link below and you should be able to get W10 for free.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply, you really helped me out a lot!

I didn't have a key, but I bought a cheap key real quick online and it works perfect.

Thanks again and have a great day,
Quentin
