OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000i (1S3R9AV)

My pc is a 30l omen with 3080 Gpu and i7 intel 11700k cpu, It should run games without a problem but everytime i play game i get a black screen in which i can't do anything about exept restarting the pc. It also doesnt reach high fps. I have tried so many things such as reseting the whole pc or the GPU and done diagnostics. What i can say is that it also makes loud noises with the fan when it turns black

Hi

I would guess you have a hardware problem since you reset Windows and see the same problem. The symptoms seem to point to the 3080. But the power supply, or MB/CPU, or RAM may cause the symptoms you are seeing. The PCIe x16 slot is tied to the CPU for data.

There are more possible points of failure. It would be impossible to cover all possibilities in this response.

I would look at the power supply since HP Diagnostics' tests pass. Diagnostics would not detect a power delivery or data problem unless the fault occurs during testing. I am not privy to to the level of stress testing HP deploys when testing hardware.

The 3080 has a TDP of 320  watts. It is possible the power supply can't deliver the required power to the card when gaming.

Have you updated graphics card drivers to the latest version?

Hi @yousifh1

You have a 750 watt power supply but it may have an intermittent problem.

A PSU PCIe cable could be defective. Or there is a 12 volt rail problem.

The easiest way to test this is to try a different power supply.
