(IPISB-CU) Black screen after failed BIOS Update

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion P7-1030
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey, Recently I tried slapping a GTX 1060 3gb into my p7-1030. But it wouldn't boot. So I decided to remove the card and run off of the integrated graphics to install a bios update. This resulted in the bios update failing. Now whenever I turn on the pc (which makes the fans and lights turn on), the screen stays black. I tried to install the BIOS update onto a USB but there isn't an option. I also, reset the CMOS and tried multiple other things. If there is any version of the bios update that lets me install it onto a USB, please let me know.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  • Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  • On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  • Press F10 to Save and Exit. if the issue persists, continue to next step:

Bios rollback:

  1. Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.
  2. Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
  3. Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys.Click here for more information on Bios Update

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
