Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15m-dr0011dx

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had this problem or knows how to fix it. I'm trying not to hard reset. But after I let my laptop self update last night while charging, I haven't been able to turn it on since. The battery light is stuck on white even after taking out the charger. My screen is stuck on a faded HP logo (looks like I have the screen on super low brightness). I tried turning it off with four or so seconds of pressing the power button. But it was ineffective. Would appreciate any help. 🙂

@NeedofHelp -- hold-down that power button for 20 to 30 seconds.

 

The next time that you power-on the laptop, is the first text/images on the screen show with "normal" brightness, or as extremely dim -- the latter is probably a problem with the "back-light" behind your screen.
