I have a Z620. It has been the most reliable workstation I have ever owned. That is until the other day. The last time I used it was working fine then the next time I used it, it wasn't.
I have changed the cmos battery since then. I have done the cmos reset button thing. Nothing helps.
Here's what the problem consists of. I get no video whatsoever. I have tried 3 different cards. Plus, not one single usb port on the front nor the back are working anymore. I have tried them all. My mouse nor my keyboard will power up. When I start the z620 up, after 30 secs to a minute all the fans go into high mode. Speaking of the fans, from what I can tell, they are still working properly when I first turn on PC.
The only port that seems to be working is the lan port.
I get no beeps or anything. Nothing appears warm inside of case. If the bios somehow got corrupted, I have read on this forum that there is a crisis bios recovery pin, that if you switch it from 2-3 to 1-2, or something like that, you can then flash the bios using a usb stick. Assuming it might be a corrupted bios, how am I supposed to flash it with usb stick if none of the usb ports will even work anymore?
I miss this machine already. The machine I'm using for the time being is a duo and won't run any of the apps I like to use. All this pc I'm currently on is good for is getting on the internet. But even that is limited by the lan port. It only supports up to 100 MBPS but my internet speed is 500 MBPS. Only seeing 1/5 of my internet speed, which sucks.
Anyone have any solutions or is my Z620 toast? Thanks.
BTW, I'm not even certain I posted this in the right section. If it needs to be moved to a different section, please do so.

Problem solved. I went ahead and took a gamble doing the bios crisis procedure. Worked like a charm the first time I tried.
