@Asmita,

I finally got the backup to work, via a different HD.  The reinstallation failed though.  There is a command window in the background with the words "the system cannot find the drive specified".  I have the logs.

I finally got the PC working.  I had to re-install Windows, and now I am re-installing all the software from before.  Thank you all for the help!
