Hi guys! I am having this problem on my HP OMEN 40L Desktop GT21-0012nl PC. The PC had started normally with Windows 11, I was working on the web and suddenly there was a freeze (blocked screen, with blocked mouse and keyboard). I turned off the PC and when I restarted it appears a black screen with sounds indicating some startup problem. You hear 3 long beeps and 2 short ones. After that the screen is black and I cannot access the BIOS or Windows, but the sequence of sounds continues for 3 times without me being able to do anything. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve it? Is it a RAM problem?
I tried removing the RAM banks, but the sounds are exactly the same. I disconnected the power supply to the GPUs, but the sounds are the same. I am afraid that the HyperX have some problem...

Greetings @DominumStige
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Good call, a 3:2 POST error code is a memory problem. Reconnect power to the GPU.
Try each stick of memory, one at a time, in each memory socket if you have not done this. Make sure each stick of memory is fully seated in the memory socket.
It would be very unusual to see multiple sticks of memory fail at the same time.
So if you get nothing after doing the above this could point to a CPU integrated memory controller problem.
You would have to try a third stick of compatible, known good, RAM to confirm a possible memory controller problem.

Thanks for the reply. I tried unplugging the RAM sticks and plugging them back in one at a time. The result doesn't change (always get a 3:2 sequence). I bought some RAM sticks from Amazon to see if the old HyperX RAM is actually defective. I hope it's not the CPU...
EDIT: I removed the RAM sticks. I cleaned the motherboard with compressed air. I inserted a RAM stick in the first slot and the PC started up. I turned off the PC. I inserted the second RAM stick in the third slot and the PC started up correctly, loading Windows 11. I am now running a check with "mdsched". Phase 1 is fine at the moment.
Could it be dust in the slots?

Greetings @DominumStige
My pleasure.
Good call again doing the compressed air. I should have mentioned this.
It looks like the memory slots needed a cleaning.
You should be good to go using the HP factory RAM.

Greetings @DominumStige
My pleasure.
I periodically clean my PC's internals but never had a memory problem caused by dust in the memory slots.
Your situation was somewhat unusual from my perspective.
Good to see you did not have a memory controller problem.
