Hello,
i bought new dual channel RAM for my pavilion 550-129nf computer:
_My computer => https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/product/hp-pavilion-550-100-desktop-pc-series/8499648/model/9137298/doc...
_My new RAM => https://www.corsair.com/fr/en/Categories/Products/Memory/High-Performance-Memory/Vengeance-LP%E2%84%...
#Informations about my computer:
Product name: 550-129nf
System board: 2B47
BIOS version/revision: ODE v.A0.20 (01/18/2018)
CPU type: i5-6400
MotherBoard: IPM-DD Rev.1.04
OS: Windows10 64bit v.2004 (19041.508)
I bought this RAM after watching carefully the compatibility page on the official HP website which said:
Memory upgrade information
Dual channel memory architecture
Two 240-pin DDR3L DIMM sockets
Supports the following:
PC3L-12800 (DDR3L-1600)
PC3L-10600 (DDR3L-1333)
Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB DIMMs
Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
NOTE: 32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers
NOTE: Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system.
But when i put my new RAM on my computer it won't start and make a "3 long/2 short" beep code.
i don't understand what's wrong with this computer, i did respect all things from the official website.
i spent more than 100€ on those memory and it won't work, did i waste my money for nothing ? can anybody help me ?
Thank you for an answer.

From its specs, it uses DDR3L RAM and you bought DDR3 RAM. BIOS may only support lower voltage RAM. Please use
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct2k102464bd160b/ct8094008
Or buy lower voltage RAM and CL=11 from Corsair.

OMG, i thinked the L means Low Profile, that's why i choosed those Low Profile RAM 😱
This is very unclear, this low voltage important information is mentioned nowhere on the official 550-129nf Memory upgrade part, and even not mentioned on the Motherboard IPM-DD17 Rev.1.04 datasheets 😥
So i waste 100€ for nothing because of unclear product spec 😭
Anyway, this is my fault, next time i should build my computer by myself.
So thank you for the answer, it was fast and clear, and thank you for links.
Good luck for the rest, see ya.
