Hi
I had a broken desktop which was left alone around a year on top of my wardrobe cause of amassed display.
I recently sorted the device and there is small problem with powering up it.
The front power light blinking when desktop is plugged in and turned off.
Normal push of power button do not turn it on.
After long press light stop blinking for 2-3 seconds and when button short pressed desktop is turning on
The desktop display is disconnected but another is connected by HDMI
Beside that device shouldn't have any hardware problems or also no os problems as I did factory reset
If you would have any solutions please post it thanks

@Bent_penguin, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Do a Hard Reset
Unplug power and all cables.
Hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.
Plug in power only, then try turning it on.
Check Power Light Blinking
If the front light blinks when plugged in, it might be giving an error code. Count the blinks (e.g. 2 slow, 3 fast), or just move to the next step if unsure.
You can check this guide for the blink codes: HP Desktop PCs - Computer beeps or a light blinks during startup | HP® Support
CMOS Reset (If comfortable)
Open the PC case.
Remove the small round battery from the motherboard.
Wait 5–10 minutes.
Put the battery back and turn it on.
Try Different Monitor/Port
Make sure monitor is ON and set to the correct input (HDMI).
Try different HDMI port or use the original monitor (if possible).
Check Inside the PC
Make sure everything is properly connected:
RAM (memory sticks)
Power cables
Graphics card (if it has one)
Push them in gently to make sure they’re seated properly.
BIOS Recovery (Some HP Models)
Hold Windows + B, then press Power.
Keep holding Windows + B until screen or beeping.
Follow instructions (if BIOS recovery starts).
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
