I am trying to get started on a newly delivered PC, but it just gets to the screen for "Other User" log in. I haven't been asked to set up a user and none of my existing HP user info works here. Any ideas for how to overcome this (I have already tried the repeated press of F11 during start up, and restarts don't change anything.)

Hi, Thanks for your help.

Yes I was a bit suspicious that this indicated that the PC was not new. I will take it up with HP next week. I hope that they will deal with it quickly and properly. Hopefully send out NEW replacement on express delivery!

Welcome to the HP Forum.

I' not sure what's happening.

It sounds like your "new HP PC" may have previous user information if the initial power on is not doing the standard Windows/HP OOBE.

Check this HP Video on setting up a new HP PC.

The video is dated but it should help you decide if your PC is, in fact, brand new.

I would do an exchange if this PC is not brand new.

Yes, you want to do an exchange as soon as possible.

Working with the sales folks is probably the best way to do this.
