When I first try to log on to my Pavilion Desktop, my mouse doesn't seem to work. I have to reboot multiple times. When I finally connect, everything seems to work fine. Tried to download and run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic Tools, but when I try to go through the process I briefly see a command line screen and then it goes away. I can't run the file that is downloaded. Not sure how to diagnose the issue. I bought a new mouse and keyboard thinking that was the problem, but still having the same issue. Using new batteries. Please help!

Hello I resolved my issue before receiving your response but I appreciate it anyway. I finally tried a simple solution of moving the USB receiver to another port on my PC. This seemed to be the solution to my issue because it has been working fine since then.
I did try to follow the link you provided to see if my drivers needed to be updated. However the link did not work for me. All is well now!
