I have seen many posts regarding boot lock up for HP Slate 21. Has a solution been discovered?

I have tried the power and volume down solution in an attempt to enter the fast boot mode, however none of the option work.

The screen remains on the HP logo with android below.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
