Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Please provide a product number. Some HP Phoenix PCs have a small cache drive. This error can occur if the cache drive has failed.

This error can also happen if the HDD has failed or maybe a data or power cable is loose. Reseat the data and power connections to the HDD. Reseat the data cable connected to the motherboard. A cable could also be faulty.

Run HP Diagnostics at system startup.

Start the PC

Tap "ESC"

Select "F2"

Run system tests.

Hi,

Thanks for the product number.

You don't have a small cache drive.

Check/reseat cable connections and try a different SATA data cable or a different power supply connector if possible.

Run HP Diagnostics per my previous suggestion.

You may have to replace the storage drive. Your PC is a CTO product (Link) . You may have a 3.5 inch platter drive or a 2.5 inch SATA SSD.

I would go with a 2.5 SATA SSD as a replacement drive if diagnostics confirms the drive has failed.

You will have to reinstall Windows and software unless you make OS image backups. You might be able to save data on the current HDD or SSD.

Regards
