HP Pavilion Power Desktop - 580-005t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi! I performed my reboot schedule today and on the restart, I received an error message.  See attachment.  My tech support my dear brother who is a Mac guy suggested the CMOS battery might need to be replaced.  A new battery did not fix the issue.  Where should look next?

F10 gets me back to the normal start-up screen.  When looking around the support page when I created an account I saw a video about updating or resetting the BIOS.  I don't know if this is related to my issue but today Office including Access was wacky.  Office makes changes on the fly.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

Is this something a novice (me) could perform?  Any idea how this could have happened?  No new hardware was added since new.  Is this an issue that will eventually cause other issues?  I've had the desktop for about 4  years and it has run flawlessly over this time.  I've considered adding a larger c drive as the current c drive (SSD) is small.

Thanks,

Pat

It can happen like that, without anyone really knowing why..
this has been around for quite a long time, and i've encountered this problem many times when the French community was open
all I know is that it causes problems in case of factory recovery, but we must be able to use the computer like that ...
From what I have read sometimes anyway!
As for the manipulation, the problem is that I saw that it normally takes special software, only I seem to have seen at the time that it does not work with all models
Otherwise, it doesn't seem that complicated, an example

I can't tell you to try, unless you find a tutorial for the same series of computer as you
if it fails, I don't know what can happen!
