HP Slim Desktop 290
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In my HP Slim 290, I have TPM enabled in BIOS but Windows acts like I don't have a TPM Module.

I have the latest BIOS firmware available. Any updates pending in HP Support Assistant.

What's happening?

Problem solved. I opened the case and changed the position of the jumpers. Now TPM is detected in Windows.

While Windows is running:

  1. Hold down the "Windows" key (bottom-left of your keyboard)
  2. Tap the "R" key.
  3. Release the "Windows" key.
  4. Into the window that opens, type  TPN.MSC and press ENTER.

What do you see about TPM ?
