I updated the "HP Firmware" on my HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-1904TG via Windows update. After this BIOS upgrade from inside Windows 11 via Windows update, the computer is now unresponsive.
The computer restarted a couple of times, and the BIOS upgrade was running and ending with 100%. Then after a new (automatic) restart the screen remained black. There were and there are no visible errors or beeps.
Now when I power on, the computer is unresponsive and the screen remains black (no signal). Only a blank/black screen, however the PC has power, and the green illumination is on.
The computer was functioning correctly before the BIOS update.
I followed all procedures from HP Desktop PCs - Recovering the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) | HP® Customer Support without any success. I have tried a CMOS reset (removed battery) but it did not change the situation. I have also tried the Windows key + B + power key but no luck. It simply displays a blank/black screen and flashes it's green LED on the front.
I have also changed keyboard and screen (following Solved: Unresponsive computer (black screen) after failed bios updat... - HP Support Community - 847...) but this did not solve my problem.
Any advice and help are greatly appreciated.

Hi:
When you made the BIOS recovery USB flash drive, did you follow the instructions that appeared on the screen after the BIOS recovery drive was created?
I used this file to create the recovery drive.
Treiber - HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-1904ng | HP® Kundensupport
When the recovery drive was completed, these are the instructions that appear...
1. Power off the device to be recovered.
2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.
3. Power on the device.
4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.
Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.
No need to press any keys, remove the CMOS battery, etc.

I apologize if you have done this already, but try the "copy" method of the "B" as follows
Obtain a USB flash that has an LED light and format for fat32.
download and run the Sept 20203 bios update https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp149001-149500/sp149470.exe
select the copy option and put the two 08767 files on that flash drive.
power up your system and hold the win + B key as described.
Hopefully the LED will light up indicating the flash drive is being accessed.
You can always get a replacement motherboard "Baker" motherboard. Ensure the part number on the used motherboard matches the one on yours. Look for a number such as L75365-001
You might complain to HP about how they let Microsoft give you bad bios

You can contact tech support on-line to get an estimate.

It is possible to attach an inexpensive USB device to the small 8 pin chip in the picture below and program the bios directly.
Some tech shops could do it. I would contact HP first and decide after hearing the cost.
@Paul_Tikkanen you beat me to it by a minute or two

Thank you for your proposal, sadly it did not work on my PC.
I followed the instructions given in the short video on the HP support site.
Kind regards

@BeemerBiker
Thank you - however it did not work. The red light on my USB Stick flashes shortly when I switch on the PC but later the stick is not anymore accessed. I 've tried even different USB ports.
Looks like I have to contact HP.
Kind regards

You're very welcome.
The only other suggestion I can offer would be to try making BIOS recovery drives with the previous BIOS updates listed on the link I posted for you.
There may be a ghost of a chance one of those will work.

Thank you,
I have contacted HP and the HP support led me through the process without any success. They are recommending to replace the board as the Bios seem to be "dead"... 😞 and that "can happen".
Kind regards
