Hi All, can I switch this old pc over from xp -32 bit to windows 7 -64 bit,convert to  CPT  and boot to UEFI mode ?? using a 500 GB HHD and have 4 GB ram, if so, how much ram can I install with it at 64 bit? have a newer pc, this one is my toy

Hi:

 

Youc PC does not have a UEFI BIOS, and you can't give it one.

 

The max size HDD you can install would be limited to 2 TB.

 

You can install W7 on your PC, but I would need to know what processor your PC currently has in order to let you know if you can install W7 64 bit.

 

The maximum memory would still be limited to 4 GB even with a 64 bit OS.  That is a hardware limitation of the 945 chipset.

being a old pc and cannot change to UEFI Im pretty much done with it, going to be a storage unit now.. thanks for the info..
