HP Compaq DC7800
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

after shutting down computer using the mouse it reboots 2-3 seconds later...I have tried everything except use a hammer...I ran sfc/scannow and DISM scan both came back ok...I updated all drivers manually...unchecked fast startup box and changed the value in registry from 0-1...only way to keep the PC from reboot after shutting it down with the mouse on screen is to push and hold the power button in until PC shuts down and then I turn the power bar off...if I need to upgrade the driver....which one is it and where do I get it?

@compaq57 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the computer rebooting after shutdown.

In that case, I would suggets you perform the system test.

Please perform the below steps on the computer to run a System Test

- Shut down/Turn off the computer

- Once the computer is completely Shut down/Turned off

- Now press the power button once to turn on the computer and immediately start pressing/tapping the F2 key on the keyboard

- This should open the UEFI Diagnostic screen on the computer

- Please select System Test and then select Extensive Test

Please let us know the result.
